Spreading Hope…a hat at a time.

These 25 wonderful hats for babies in the NICU were made by Betsy from Pennslyvania.  She is a new member of Team Knitting Rays of Hope and found us on Mentalfloss.com

These hats are adorable and will absolutely spread hope to the families of the itty bitty NICU patients.  We are so thrilled that the article in Mental Floss is helping new people read about us and inspiring them to help!

Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you!

    • For preemies, we use the newborn loom (24 pegs), for a micro preemie, we use the scarf loom and go around 14-20 pegs. The average length of a preemie hat is 4 to 4 1/2 inches long from brim to top. If the yarn is thin, we use 2 strands. If the yarn is thicker, we use 1 strand. We would love to receive your creations, from micro preemie to adult- we need all sizes :).
Hope you have a fantastic day!
