Hats from New Jersey

Earlier this month, a new friend, Dawn from New Jersey sent us these goodies!

Dawn's hats

Her letter reads:

Enclosed are some hats I would like to donate to your organization.  I am new at loom knitting and hopefully the next batch that I send will be a little more professional.

I live in a smoke-free, pet-free environment.  I think what you are doing is fantastic

These are perfect and so good for being so new!  We thank you for following our criteria so that these hats can be sent in our monthly deliveries that will commence very soon.   We look forward to your next shipment! 😉

I hope that the tutorials page is helpful.  If we need to update that and add some other videos (made by others), please let us know!

Thank you!

So Many Chemo Hats – So Much Love

Last month, we received a box full of colorful hats from our good friend, Donna in Washington State.

Donna's Hats

Her note reads:

It is both an amazing & wonderful feeling how often my thoughts turn to you & your work in the world.  It is such an honor to participate.

I read all your posts and pay attention to every note and picture of hats people send.  What a good idea to share these pictures & notes from people! It is so good to feel the connection.

This box of 45 hats is sent with much love.

We appreciate great friends like Donna who always show support and offer words of encouragement to keep going!  Thank you so much!  I am so glad that our contributors feel connected and part of a great team!  There would absolutely be a much smaller Knitting Rays of Hope, if we didn’t have so many generous friends from all over the country!

Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you!

Hats to Keep Lil’ Ones Warm

A new friend, Laurie sent us a box a little bit ago full of these hats.

NICU Hat

Her sweet note reads:

25 hats to keep the little ones warm

🙂

We are trying to catch up on all these shipments!  We really do appreciate you and your generosity, and we apologize for not blogging about the shipments we have received sooner.  Between vacations and different classes we have been attending, in addition to spending some quality time with our families, things have been a bit crazy over here!  But I promise we will get all the hats photographed and blogged about!

We are preparing a delivery to the NICU for the end of August (hopefully) and a huge delivery to CHOC for the pediatric oncology unit in September!

Thank you for all your support!

Her note card reads:

Sorry it has taken me so long to get these to you!
The last month or so has been pretty busy for me, but I can’t put it off any longer!
I hope things are going well for you and your family.
Thank you again for all your hard work! I’ll be sending more later this year!
Take care & God Bless!

We are so grateful for friends like Becky who are constantly working on hats to help spread hope, no matter how busy life gets.  We do know about the busy-ness of life, as we have been extremely busy!  We have received about 5 shipments that we haven’t posted about yet.  I will shortly (God willing!)

Thank you so much!
