Personal Gifts

I thought I would share the hats that my daughter and I made for our friend who is pregnant with a little girl.

We met her and her family through youth football, and we can’t wait to meet her little baby girl.

Made with Love

My daughter made this for my aunt in Ohio who is fighting cancer.

We sent it via the mail late last week, and she received it and loves it!

The Wonder and Marvel of an Ordinary Life

Do not ask your children
to strive for extraordinary lives.
Such striving may seem admirable,
but it is the way of foolishness.
Help them instead to find the wonder
and the marvel of an ordinary life.
Show them the joy of tasting
tomatoes, apples and pears.
Show them how to cry
when pets and people die.
Show them the infinite pleasure
in the touch of a hand.
And make the ordinary come alive for them.

The extraordinary will take care of itself.

We Wish You A Merry…

We hope that you have a Merry Christmas!  We will be a bit scarce in the online realm as we spend time with our loved ones during this holiday time.  One thing that we have learned from spreading awareness about cancer and other horrifying diseases, is how precious life is.  While we miss our loved ones who have already earned their angel wings, we hold our loved ones here on earth a little closer and tighter.  We are thankful to have you as part of our community and send love and hope your way during our online hiatus.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
