Earlier this month, Gail from Washington sent us a box full of adorable and colorful hats for pediatric chemo warriors and babies in the NICU.
Her note reads:
Enclosed are 40 hats. Most are infants and toddler sized, but I have included a couple of larger sizes in case they are needed.
Thank you for all you do!
We appreciate and are grateful for all sizes! We love that you care so much to include some for everybody!
Thank you for helping us spread hope and love in the world!
Earlier this month, Knitting Rays of Hope delivered 15 blankets, 30 children sized hats and 135 NICU sized hats to CHOC and St. Joe’s in Orange County.
We are so grateful to have such a sweet friend and supporter like Melissa, a nurse at St. Joe’s. Melissa has enlisted her daughter, Hailey’s help to sort and deliver the hats. We love that Hailey and Melissa are making a difference in the world and helping Knitting Rays of Hope reach so many patients!
I know we make a difference in the world by spreading hope to over 5,327 hat recipients and their families.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Today we are celebrating our 5 Year Blogiversary!
When we first began this journey, we had no idea that 5 years later we would still be going strong. It really is an amazing feeling to look back at how we have contributed to others and helped make their days a bit brighter. We are proud that we have done our part to give back to our community and we are so proud to have made and met so many wonderful friends on this journey. As we have said before, we could not have done this without the support of our friends. A big shout out to everyone who made it possible for Knitting Rays of Hope to provide 4,956 hats to NICU babies and Cancer Warriors these past 5 years. Here is to another wonderful 5 years to come filled with continued friends, new friends, and Rays of Sunshine!
We want to wish everyone a wonderful Easter! We hope that your Easter is filled with love and family time.
These are the special creations we delivered just for Easter. Thank you to everyone who supports us! We couldn’t do it without you.

These chick hats are for a special Easter delivery!
We love doing these Easter inspired chicks along with the rabbits. Even if the little ones do not know about Easter yet, it is still a great hat for Spring. We love Spring time when all the flowers are in bloom and the weather brightens up and gets warmer, yet not too warm. It’s a great time to spread rays of sunshine and we look forward to making our next delivery.
Here is my latest creation that I crocheted for a little chemo warrior.
We are collecting hats for children and adult chemo warriors, as well as for babies in the NICU. Our goal is to continue with our monthly deliveries, so we will need a pretty substantial and steadfast supply of hats, scarves, blankets or anything else your heart guides you to knit, crochet, loom-knit or sew.
Please let us know if you need any more information. You can contact us
Have a fantastic day!
Our good friend, Dee sent us these lovely hats, scarves, <some even in sets> and hand cozies. All of her creations are so adorable and unique. Though we love all the hats, we are truly impressed with the hamburger and green hoodie.
Such a wonderful Hamburger
