Spreading Hope…a hat at a time.

Cathy made this brown hat for a baby in the NICU, and the yarn just screamed teddy bear to me.  So I quickly crocheted 2 bear ears and sewed them on.  The bear ears were not straight or even,(one was closer to the middle), and it just looked awful.  Vanessa took it apart, in an attempt to fix the ears’ spacing and the hat fell apart.  😦  Luckily Cathy had made another preemie sized hat in the same yarn.  This time I quickly crocheted the ears but gave them to Vanessa to sew them onto the hat.  And the results are perfect!  🙂  Lesson learned- give embellishments to our team’s official seamstress.
