Spreading Hope…a hat at a time.

Matthew was born on September 30, 2012 at 24 weeks and 6 days.  He loves to sleep :).  We are so happy to see the hats we recently made are already keeping little ones warm and cozy.  He is an inspiration to all of us, so tiny and frail yet so strong and persistent.  We pray Matthew will be able to go home with his family soon.

While you enjoy viewing  all the cute pictures of Matthew modeling our hats below, I would like to bring your attention to World Prematurity Day on November 17.  You can make a difference by signing this petition to ask President Obama to light the White House in purple to celebrate the 75th anniversary of March of Dimes and as a symbol of hope to Preemie Families.  You can also raise awareness by sharing information with your friends and loved ones.

There are sad statistics about premature birth.  15 million babies are born too soon each year- that’s 1  in 10!  More than 1 million babies don’t survive.   For more information on how to get involved, please visit World Prematurity Day  and March of Dimes

We hope that the little hats we donate provide comfort and support to the families going through this difficult time.  We send prayers and positive vibes for the best outcome for their little precious one and family.

If you want to get involved, please don’t hesitate to contact us.  We would love to send more hats and need all your help!
Hoping to hear from you….

Hi my name is Apolonia, I am the mother of lil precious Matthew ❤ I wanted to say thank u for your time and dedication in making these beautiful knitted beanies. Thank god my lil Matthew has been a strong baby and is doing well, I pray to have him home soon. Putting these knitted beanies truly lit up our hearts. Taking puctures and building wonderful memories and saving all this stuff will be a great story to tell him when he is bigger. You have all lit up our hearts and opened our eyes to realize that there are still a lot of amazing and wonderful people out there who help out in ways you wouldnt even realize, its the lil'st things anybody can do and put a smile on your face, especially in a moment like this. I speak for everybody in Matthews family and for lil Matthew when I say thank you and bless all your souls because you guys put a smile on our face 🙂

  4. Thank you Apolonia! We are so happy that you allowed us to share Matthew’s story and pray that you will be home with him shortly. I am so glad that we were able to bring a little joy to you during this time for your family. We haven’t made character hats for the NICU yet, but certainly can. Do you have a specific request for Matthew? Just let us know.
    Many hugs
